A white garden border planting scheme, Islington N1
A planting plan was created to suit the very formal layout of the garden. A mainly white colour palette was designed using plants inspired by the white garden at Sissinghurst. The central lawn area was returfed and set with stepping stones leading up to a seated area repeating the stone used in the patio. Romantic climbing Rosa New Dawn and fragrant evergreen jasmines surround the garden. Spheres of box add form and year round structure to this garden. To extend the flowering season, the borders are underplanted with ‘White Triumphator’ tulips interspersed with Tulipa ‘Queen of the Night’ to provide spring colour, before the herbaceous perennials begin to bloom over the summer months.
